European works councils (EWCs) are established by agreements which define how they will function. These procedural agreements are collected on the EWC Database by Peter Kerckhofs and Irmgard Pas. These texts and much other information on EWCs can be found at http://www.ewcdb.org .

Some European works councils have also concluded agreements or codes of conduct with management on substantive matters. These substantive agreements illustrate the negotiating role which EWCs can play. Special thanks to Mark Carley for the collection of these texts.
